Sabbath Day

October 4, 2013

1. Slept in.

2. Read Bonhoeffer.

3. Attended a local clergy gathering to meet with the Mayor of New Rochelle, who is the Democratic candidate for County Executive of Westchester.

4. Picked August up from school, and together took our car to the shop to get new breaks.

5. Took August out for a “guys” dinner and ice cream.

6. Stopped at Toys-R-Us to get some new games for family game night.

7. At the church (on the way home) August and some of the kids from ESL cleared the sanctuary of Hymn samplers which we no longer need because our new hymnal has arrived.

8. Back home, August sank Noelle’s Battleship.

9. Fell asleep putting August to bed, and stayed asleep.

10. A good sabbath day.
